Private source and third-party components The publisher's source code for this version is private and is not supplied under this binary-use license. No source-code, modification or trademark license is granted for the publisher's proprietary work, except as expressly stated above or required by applicable law. It does not replace, revoke or limit rights already granted under the GNU Affero General Public License for earlier Analog Forge releases, including the previously published 0.1.2 release. Those copies and their source code remain subject to the licenses under which they were provided. 6. Warranty and liability The software is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by applicable law, the owner makes no warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement, and is not liable for loss or damage arising from use of, or inability to use, the software. Nothing in this license excludes or limits liability, consumer protections or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
Third-party components
The current release uses iPlug2 and other components under their own licenses. Exact copyright and license notices accompany the package in THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt and licenses/. Those licenses remain applicable to their respective components.
Earlier AGPL releases
The previously published Analog Forge 0.1.2 release and its corresponding source retain the AGPL terms under which they were supplied. The new binary-use license does not revoke or restrict those earlier rights. Read the AGPLv3 license.
Website imagery and demo music
The software license does not grant trademark rights in the NORMSONIC name or logo. The listening excerpts from Music Through Love and their included source material retain CC BY 3.0; see the complete music attribution and source links. Other third-party material retains its respective terms.
Early release limitations
Analog Forge 0.2.0 is a free early release. Windows validation includes 143 DSP comparison cases, VST3 SDK checks and pluginval at strictness 5. Version 0.2.0 has also been checked in REAPER on Windows for all six models, parameter automation, saved project state and latency-aligned bypass. Compatibility with all hosts has not been verified. The release is Windows only.
The distortion voices are analog-inspired digital models rather than exact replicas of named hardware circuits. Level Match is approximate, and Soft Ceiling is not a true-peak mastering limiter. Full warranty and liability terms are set out in the applicable software license.
